Efe Göbek Raki
Rak is an aniseed spirit typical of Turkey. It is closest to anise brandy - it is distilled from grapes and anise, but differs from its Mediterranean "cousins" ouzo, sambuca and mastic, as it is not so sweet in taste. You can feel the specific grape aromas from the distillation in a copper cauldron and no other herbs are added, only anise. It is consumed diluted with water and ice. It is perfect in the company of salads, hors d'oeuvres, fish, seafood delicacies, main dishes and desserts.
This high-quality product is produced entirely from fresh grape distillate (called Suma) and only the liquid from the 3rd part of the distillation is separated, the so-called "Göbek" (belly). No added sugar and aged for a minimum of 120 days. It has a distinctive taste, and the freshness imparted by the grapes leaves a soft and smooth aftertaste.
